The Tatar State Puppet Theater "Ekiyat" is considered one of the leading theaters of the young spectator in Russia.
The architecture of the white stone building with many small details is as if copied from a children's book about wizards. On the facade of the theater are sculpted figures of fairy-tale characters. A stage box is made in the form of a glass palace Ekiyat has an original highlight - in the evening the puppet theater is even more reminiscent of a medieval palace that happened to be in the center of the modern city.
Inside the Ekiyat it is decorated no less original. For example, benches for rest in halls are similar to royal thrones - small visitors can not simply have a rest, but also play, fantasize on a given topic. The floors in the hall look like a huge chessboard. And in general in the Tatar State Puppet Theater "Ekiyat" is very spacious, light and cozy. It's no surprise that young spectators like to visit the fabulously designed theater.
There are two auditoriums in the theater: 250 spectators in a large theater, 100 in the small.
The modern building was built in 2002, and the "doll" history from 1934
