In the incredibly nice town of Novgorodsch Gorodets - many churches, cathedrals. And after walking along the street with colorful, bright houses with carved platbands, as if you find yourself in a Russian fairy tale. In Gorodets there are many museums, hiking in which - a whole holiday! You can go to a visit to a gingerbread house, to samovars, to caskets. Everything is so fascinating that I do not want to leave these distinctive Russian places.
The absolutely marvelous Museum of Samovars was arranged in " Museum District "Gorodets in 2008 in the mansion of the merchant Grishaev. And immediately he won the love and attention of thousands of tourists who specially come here to see this symbol of friendly communication, family well-being and protection of the house. The very house of merchant Grishaev, in which the museum was comfortably settled, is unique. This is a monument of urban construction and architecture of the second half of the 19th century.
And what can we say about its contents!
The museum was created on the basis of the collection of a true enthusiast, an honorary citizen of Gorodets, Nikolai Polyakov. There are more than 500 samovars of different ages from 18 to the end of the 20th century. Now in the small house-museum the largest collection in the country is presented, which is constantly replenished. And she started with the family samovar (the most expensive), inherited from his grandfather Polyakov.
What kind of shape, color and volume of samovars is not here: road, tavern, "egoists", "tet-a-tet" and others. There are brass, copper, silvered, nickel-plated. In form they are also very diverse: an egg, an acorn, a Greek vase, a sphinx, a glass. By the method of heating water - coal, wood, heated on bumps, kerosene, electric samovars ... There are surprisingly rare specimens that you will not see anywhere else. In the museum, except for samovars, old items for the tea ceremony are kept.
Here even there is a samovar - the executor of desires! Very warm and kind place. They say that the museum will open a tea room in the near future, naturally, with tea from a samovar.
Recently a samovar of Pushkin's time appeared in the museum, from which, perhaps, A. Pushkin himself drank tea.
And the presidential envoy in the Privolzhsky Federal District G. Rapota gave the museum an old copper chestnut
After visiting this cozy and very interesting museum, you immediately imagine yourself at a big round family table. The samovar hoots and puffs on it, and a leisurely friendly conversation warms all souls and hearts. I want to drink tea in such a situation and from such a samovar. Visiting the museum cheers up! Visitors can write their impressions and emotions in the guest book
