"Nikola-Lenivets" - an art park and a natural and creative cluster of 600 hectares in the Kaluga region - in the territory of the national park Ugra. 30 years ago no one in Moscow has ever heard or spoken about this place, now it is considered to be cult.
In the fields, forests and the river in the territory of the art park you can see giant sculptures of famous and new artists, take part in educational programs and art residences, get to the festival (three times a season), work on a farm, just live in a camping, take a walk and enjoy beautiful views.
The first Moscow residents were Vasily Shchetinin and Nikolay Polissky. People are creative, they dreamed of creating an art village far from civilization. In 2000, on a high snow-covered descent to the river, an army march from two hundred snowmen was organized. Photo presentation of this project took place in the Moscow galleries, and in the summer it was decided to lay down the Tower of Babel from hay. So it started what is now called the "Arhstoyanie" festival.
Since 2006, thousands of tourists come to the festival of landscape objects "Arkhstoyanie" in "Nikola-Lenivets". In recent years, "Archstoyanie" is held here once a year - in the summer. The art-park "Nikola-Lenivets" is open all year round, adults and children enjoy this visit.
