A little history
The official date of the settlement is 1740, which is indicated on the commemorative stele at the entrance to the village. And already in 1769 Demidov began here the construction of his Kaginsk hammer mill. Later, a saw mill, a smithy with six horns, a metalwork, a furrier, a carpentry barn, barns and sheds for storing iron, cast iron, tar, guardhouses, a bread shop, a wooden church in the name of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker, a factory office and a manor yard were located around it.
After the repeated change of owners, the plant was in the hands of Ivan Asafievich Tatarinov, who together with the Swedish engineer VV Muenching built here a blast furnace and a nail factory, then a school, a hospital, an outpatient clinic, a club for workers. However, the fire of 1911 ordered the plant to "live a long time," after a strong fire, it was virtually impossible to restore it.

@ St. Nicholas Church
The main attraction of the village of Kaga is the St. Nicholas Church, which was started to be donated in 1898, and finished only after 8 years . The church was three-fold: the main place was in honor of St. Nicholas; right - in honor of the holy apostles Peter and Paul; left - in honor of the holy apostle John the Theologian . The thrones were consecrated on December 8 and 9, 1913, but already in 1933 the temple was closed, the bells were discarded, and the bell tower and the dome was destroyed . In 1955 the building was repaired in Kage The Club, transformed in 1968 into the House of Culture .The former director of the Palace of Culture Ivan Antonovich Lisovsky already in the seventies cleared the dome from the stucco, found unique frescoes and on July 1, 2000 the Nikolsky church was officially handed over to the believers .
Source of Sazhelka
The second historical landmark of the village is the holy spring Sazhelka . There is a legend that one day in the summer a terrible drought struck the Kaga, the springs, streams and wells dried up . A terrible, unknown disease came along with it . The villagers gathered to the alarm bell of the church bell and prayed fervently, asking God for forgiveness and help . Suddenly, from a hillside on which there was a cemetery, a source with the purest, cold and tasty water scooped up . People drank from this source, sprinkled dwellings and cattle, and the illness was gone . Since then, as a token of gratitude every year on this day (August 21), local people come to the cemetery to the holy spring, serve a moleben and commemorate all the dead . This holiday is so called Promised (from the vow given to God for salvation) . A chapel was built over the holy spring, during the years of Stalinist repressions its destruction or, and then restored in 1997 .
