Historical cities

The oldest city in the Voronezh region is its administrative center Voronezh. The modern Bobrov partly preserved its historical monuments and atmosphere of the county town. Here, till now, one can find ancient merchant houses, manors and shops of the 18-19th centuries. Among them, the Suvorins' house, in which Anton Chekhov stayed, was the first city museum in the Rheinsk cellar of one of the merchants, several buildings of public institutions - a bank, a parish school and a zemstvo hospital.

Pavlovsk

Founded in 1709, Pavlovsk, like many other settlements in the Voronezh region, is obliged his belt leniem Peter the Great.
