The Memorial Museum-Lyceum, part of the complex of the All-Russian Pushkin Museum, is located in the city of Pushkin (former Tsarskoe Selo) in the building of the Imperial Tsarskoye Selo Lyceum, the privileged educational institution for children of the nobles, founded by Emperor Alexander I in 1811. The museum tells about the youth of Pushkin, who was brought up here from 1811 to 1817 and the most advanced educational institution in Russia in the 19th and early 20th centuries.
The museum recreated the atmosphere in which the lyceum students of the first Pushkin issue lived. In June 2010, on the second floor of the building, a permanent exposition "We Live in the Memory of the Lyceum", representing more than a hundred-year history of this unique educational institution, was opened on the second floor of the building for the 300th anniversary of Tsarskoye Selo (2010) and the 200th anniversary of the Lyceum (2011).
