After the construction the house belonged to the merchant Karaspasov and then to the Turkish citizen Konstantinidi . After 20 years the building was purchased by the Rafailovich family . Immediately after the revolution, when Denikin's rate was located in Taganrog , the head of the French military mission was stationed in the house of Rafailovich, and in the 1920s . there was a political department, the newspaper office and the headquarters of special purpose units . And since 1925 . the building became an ordinary residential house . He was divided on the commune and the building began to decline gradually . Today it is still beautiful, but obviously needs to be repaired .
The eclectic building combined elements of different architectural currents: here you can find signs of classicism, baroque and neobaroque . This one-story structure is heightened by a high basement and a beautiful roof design: along the facade on the parapet, The big vases are located . In general the facade is decorated very beautifully, here you can see a lot of bas-reliefs, ornaments, cornucopia, medallions with faces of satyrs and other figurative ornaments . In the center of the canopy is a metal monogram with two letters "H" and "P", the initials of the previous owner. Under the pediment, you can see two graceful statues that depict women with bodies of leaves. Sculptures on the facade were created by a local sculptor.
